Weather Stats
In the French tradition, Montréalers have an incredible sense of style. Walk
down Sainte-Catherine and you'll understand. So you want to be sure that you
pack the correct clothing for your Montréal vacation. Or you can always just
buy what you need at their trendy shops.
Spring and Summer
Montréal summers sizzle and not just because of the festivals. It
experiences those typical Eastern North American summers that can hot and
humid. So pack accordingly. On the hottest summer days, you'll enjoy warm
nights that are perfect for sitting outside at bars while listening to some
great jazz. In early spring and late summer, bring a sweater with you when
you go out in the evenings, as it tends to cool down at night.
Fall and Winter
Montréal in the fall is beautifully crisp and you get a colourful show by
the changing leaves. Montréal winters are fantastic if you love the snow.
With Tremblant close-by and the Snow Festival in January and February,
Montréal turns into a city winter wonderland. As long as you don your boots
to keep your feet warm and dry and wear layers of warm wool and a
windbreaker, you'll be fine. And don't forget those winter essentials like a
scarf, gloves and a toque (hat).
